Fullers has been the leading ferry operator in Auckland for over 20 years and offers a range of ferry trips, tours and charters around Auckland Harbour and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.
Fullers’ inception can be traced back to a family sailing trip in the summer of 1981 when George Hudson and his son, Douglas, saw a tired and worn out procession of wooden ferries slowly ebb past their own boat. Over time Auckland’s ferry service had become neglected, stale and tired, and was figuratively and literally running out of steam. The Hudsons realised the potential for a successful ferry service, and strove to do something about it.
Leisure trips include the historic seaside suburb of Devonport, the volcanic Rangitoto Island, beautiful Waiheke Island and Fullers established Harbour Cruise.
Commuter ferry services operate between Downtown Auckland and Birkenhead, Bayswater, Northcote Point, Stanley Bay and Half Moon Bay.
Fullers also owns and operates the Waiheke Bus Company, which runs bus services to and from all Fullers ferry arrivals and departures on the island.
